Abrazo Health Care Celebrates Grand Opening of West Valley Learning Center

EVENT:                      Grand Opening of Abrazo Health Care’s West Valley Learning Center

Abrazo Health Care will celebrate the expansion of its corporate university, the Abrazo Institute, a new state-of-the-art learning center in the West Valley, with a VIP ribbon-cutting ceremony and community open house. The center will prepare qualified residents for careers in nursing and allied health professions.   Abrazo Health Care is providing the learning center as a community resource to increase the number of health care professionals in the West Valley.

WHO:                         Representatives from Abrazo Health Care will make presentations and provide tours of the new facility during the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Presenters include:
– Jim Resendez, President, West Valley Hospital
– Judy Schueler, Ph.D., Chief Learning Officer, Abrazo Health Care
– Karen Stiefel, Ph.D., Dean, Baptist School of Health Professions
– Dan F. Ausman, President, Abrazo Health Care

                                    11 a.m. – Noon            VIP ribbon cutting ceremony
                                    1 – 3 p.m.                    Open house for community residents

LOCATION:              Abrazo Health Care West Valley Learning Center
                                    140 N. Litchfield Road, Goodyear
                                    (Facility is located on the west side of Litchfield Road just south of Van Buren Street)

MEDIA                      Media is invited to attend the VIP ribbon cutting event including featured demonstrations
                                    of interactive video classroom technology; video streaming lecture notes on web; and use of computerized simulation in nursing education.

Interviews are available with Abrazo representatives, as well as students that are participating in the RN diploma program.
