Joint Replacement Program
Our Joint Replacement Program can make all the difference in your life.

At West Valley Hospital, we have developed our joint replacement program with the following important components:

State-of-the-Art Technology:
In fall of 2005, West Valley Hospital added the most state-of-the-art computer-assisted technology, the Ci™ System, from DePuy, a Johnson & Johnson company. The Ci System provides surgeons with a 3-dimensional view of the knee joint and precise data to help them more accurately align implants during knee replacement procedures, regardless of the size of the incision.

Trained Orthopedic Nurses:
Our nursing staff has experience caring for individuals that have had joint replacement surgery. They also continue their education with ongoing informational classes.

Experience Surgeons:
To find an experienced orthopedic surgeon on our medical staff, click here to search our physician directory or call our Physician Referral hotline at 888-669-3444

Multi-Disciplinary Team:
During your stay with us, you will be seeing and working with many different people. The following is a list of people you may meet. They will work as a team to help you recover.

  • Doctor/Surgeon - Your surgeon will perform the operation and direct your care. Be sure to ask your doctor any questions you have about the surgery and recovery.
  • Case Manager - This nurse will assist in the coordination of your care to make sure all details of your hospitalization run smoothly.
  • Nurse - This is the person that you will see the most. The nurse will watch for any changes in your condition and will coordinate your care.
  • Physical Therapist (PT) - Your PT will work with you on your activity which is a big part of your recovery. This therapy includes getting up and out of bed and walking down the hall.

First in the Southwest Valley:
West Valley Hospital is proud to be the first hospital in the Southwest Valley to offer the services to the community.

Informational Class:
To register for the informational class offered every Monday at 9:00 am, please call 1-888-669-3444.

This "Road to Recovery" is a guideline only. Each patient is an individual and responses may vary. If you have any questions, please talk to your Health Care Team.
